If it's something they can do at any time, from someplace remote, relying on them not to do so on a whim is ridiculous. To date the only crime here so far has been the kidnapping, therefore they are the only criminals. Giving in to them mustn't be tolerated. If anything, we should urge them to show their hand as much as possible.
