10 PM Meeting - Laundry Room

[As your character may know if they'd been watching the network thread, Mikami and Light have plans to meet at 10PM in the laundry room. Mikami will end up being about 10 minutes late.]

This man who is mocking you does not like me much. I've been committing blasphemy against his God. If my plan works he may be unhappy. To anger him, you should do your best to abide by it, then.

This and that are two different---[As Light jumps in with a more reasonable statement at the same time Mikami started speaking, he stops from getting emotional himself. Letting a slow breath out through his nose he turns to Ryuk and points to the exit, even if Ryuk wouldn't necessarily need to use it.] Shinigami. You go to do it while we try to explain to him what he's supposed to do. With any luck, we'll be finished here soon and can vote Haneoka-san to supposed safety, then get on with matters.

More importantly, this isn't about your age or rules. Atsushi-kun, this is about keeping us safe. If you would follow the same plan, it would help us find justice.

[That's worth an unimpressed look in Light's direction.]

I'm old enuf to be mah own man. I thought we were gettin' rid of this here paper? [He looks wistfully down at his half-gone blunt.] I was puttin' it to good use and woulda finished it too, if it wasn' for good ol' Four Eyes over there.

Destroying them will be the next step. For now, Atsuhi-kun, if you could step into the room and place what's left in the envelopes there.

Ah--... [He makes a frowning face towards L and Light, ultimately deciding not to stop him while he's fundamentally cooperating but wondering if they're not going to either.]

[Light has no plan to. He'll wait until Atsushi is gone.]

We're almost finished. After that, after the examination of the sheets, we can finally destory them.

[The shinigami's head pops back through the wall before anything else, in his hunched posture, though quickly followed by the rest of his shambling form.]

Well, there's no risk of the Shinigami or the idiot interfering with the other's privacy in this at least, now. There's still the matter of whether we should be staying in an area with no immediate exit in case of fire while he's out there, but...

Getting along isn't necessary, but controlling the arguments so they don't slow down progress is. He's been here for days, and I haven't noticed any fires.

More importantly, I'd like to request Ryuk be the one to bring the envelopes back. As the owner of a book with more pages, he has the least to gain by a few loose sheets.

I'm not so interested in all this planning and analysis, but I don't see any harm in that idea. As long as everyone's along, no one's gonna do anything sneaky, right?
