A game of clues

[So far, he had been very, very unsatisfied with his progress. Normally, things worked much more smoothly but being dropped into highly tense situations with people who seemed sure of their own paths hadn't made for a cohesive team. While he still felt they were safer in groups of three, it was time to do some real exploration.

The first thing was first: physically searching for clues. He'd stay in the house of course, as he still felt the surrounding land brought on too much threat of danger for the moment and he wanted more clues, or even a clue, toward the locked door in the laundry room. The bedrooms were his first step, as he wanted to look through the computers for potential clues and try to once more assess how many people had appeared. He would knock before going into each. If there was no answer, he would go inside and begin his searches, starting with the computers to see if any held any unique information. The rooms themselves would also be searched for anything that might hold numbers - he was fairly confident that while it was meant to be a difficult puzzle, it was meant to be solvable. Coming from Bedroom 2, he would move to Bedrooms 5, 4, and 3 before moving onto the Master Bedroom.

From there, he would move onto the middle and opposite sides of the house. The Dining Room, Great Room, Kitchen, Office, and finally the Laundry Rooms would be explored. There was no time for sloth.]

[ooc: basically, Light's looking through the entire house. If you want to avoid him, you can have hijinks ensue and have your character move between rooms while he's looking in other rooms; he also won't find any characters that are outside.]

I should be able to answer the question of what's in that room at any rate.
takethecake: (Now this is fun.)

I'm a detective.
takethecake: (And now you have my *attention*.)

That's a reasonable deduction.
takethecake: (Shlurp.)

Should we put up a note?

[He's also stalking the Mikami thread and planning to ambush that meeting, FYI.]

I don't like repeating myself.
takethecake: (Hm you don't say.)

Tell that to the people making the spin offs. (Re: It's not all about L.)

Yes, because I'm particular. [Which is a very polite way of referring to himself as a freak.] But there's safety in that.

However, that wasn't what I was talking about. I'd prefer an audience because I don't want to repeat my findings again and again.
takethecake: (Hm you don't say.)

I love him! But he loses something when he's made the lead instead of the opposition.

Rather, please don't vouch for me. Thank you.

[ooc: They even out their screen time as soon as L comes into the story and make L more sympathetic, so L becomes as much of a lead as Light. If you root for L so much you don't even get excited about how Light's going to get out of a pinch and you just want him to get caught then L doesn't work either. L's position is too much stronger than Light's. He's there to be his problem.]

Then, when we have more people.
