Mikami's morning rounds and location logs

[Mikami's morning schedule is as follows unless interrupted;

From a little after midnight until 7AM, he'll be sleeping on the office couch, in full suit and tie, aside from his shoes at the front entrance. He's a light sleeper but not so light somebody intentionally trying not to wake him couldn't enter and do something.

At 7AM he will wake up and look out into the main area, then return to check the computer if nothing's thrown him off schedule.

Unless he makes alternate plans due to talking to anyone via computer, at 7:30 he'll briefly check the laundry room. He'll then head to the Master Bathroom and proceed with basic morning hygiene and showering.

By 8:00 he'll head to the kitchen and either interact with whoever else is there or just make coffee alone.

At 7:30, he takes Ed to the laundry room and moves the laundry to the dryer before heading to the beach with him.

...This is a rather dry read, but that's Mikami for you. For being transported into a murderous land of magic and mystery where waking up alive is perhaps a small miracle, his morning habits are quite normal. Arguably unsettlingly so. He seems entirely comfortable and at home in the setting to anyone observing.]

[Right back to business, then. One finger points to the numbers on the screen by each post.]

An Internet Protocol--IP--address identifies each individual computer. Because we're on an intranet, only the numbers after the final period are likely to vary. Due to the IP address being different, I can tell that, for example, Yagami-san, while posting from the same e-mail address, [He gestures to Light's account name.] is using a different computer today than he was then.

[After a moment of silence he sighs.]

Well, it isn't very useful right now. There's no reason to set an e-mail up for you either... [Pulling up another window, he begins typing, pulling up other screens.] I'll close these and then we'll see to making a boat.

[Looking a bit exasperated, if saying that he had said that from the start, Ed stands.]

Now that you know I'm the real thing, we should bring everybody. I'll have enough boats in minutes.

[Leaving the Server computer on the "Press Alt + Cntrl + Del to Unlock" screen, he moves to the camera feed computer.]

According to what the Shinigami said, it won't be that simple, but it is ridiculous not to try. If we rewind this, we should find out where they've gone.

Maybe they didn't know they were getting a genius alchemist when they signed me up for this. Just find 'em already.

More than likely, they have planned for it and it won't be an escape. But it won't do to take the Shinigami at his word as the agent most likely to be a conspirator if not our kidnapper himself.

[Ed can watch Mikami rewind the cameras.]

Two unknown girls. Approximately your age. They went with Yagami into the back room where...

[Continuing to rewind to the night before.... Pause. He puts a finger on a portion of the screen where Ryuk can be seen by those who can see him.] Can you see anyone or anything here?

If they try to stop me, I'll just show them what I can do. [After his words end, he listens, and eventually amber eyes follow his finger.]

The computer? Yeah, you told me what it's called. It's weird to forget already, you know.

[His finger lingers, watching said amber eyes for a few long seconds of silence.

Just as Ed seems about to react, Mikami stands up and heads to the opening Ed made.]

Close this behind you.

You're trying to hide it. That's pretty sneaky.

[He follows along nonetheless, suspicion in his voice.]

Anyone would need you to get back in. But if you want to undo the lock completely and simply make it an open door, you're welcome to. The hole is unsightly.

[Rather than mess with a door that might do something bad, there's another option if the glasses guy doesn't want a big hole in the wall.

With a clap, he pressed his hands to the wall and it begins to close again; however, there's also a new door in place.]

There, that should handle it.

Then, they were last seen heading towards what's labeled as bedroom #5 on the map. [And so he will lead the way. Merge with group thread when ready.]
