Mikami's morning rounds and location logs
[Mikami's morning schedule is as follows unless interrupted;
From a little after midnight until 7AM, he'll be sleeping on the office couch, in full suit and tie, aside from his shoes at the front entrance. He's a light sleeper but not so light somebody intentionally trying not to wake him couldn't enter and do something.
At 7AM he will wake upand look out into the main area, then return to check the computer if nothing's thrown him off schedule.
Unless he makes alternate plans due to talking to anyone via computer, at 7:30 he'll briefly check the laundry room. He'll then head to the Master Bathroom and proceed with basic morning hygiene and showering.
By 8:00 he'll head to the kitchen and either interact with whoever else is there or just make coffee alone.
At 7:30, he takes Ed to the laundry room and moves the laundry to the dryer before heading to the beach with him.
...This is a rather dry read, but that's Mikami for you. For being transported into a murderous land of magic and mystery where waking up alive is perhaps a small miracle, his morning habits are quite normal. Arguably unsettlingly so. He seems entirely comfortable and at home in the setting to anyone observing.]

I have to understand it, too. Even with computer materials, I can't make one. It's the science of understanding, decomposition, and restructure.

Pants.

Instead of walking them over, he tosses them, aiming for them to land on Mikami's shoulder or head.]

[There's more shuffling as he gives a rather robotic, if long winded report.]
I wasn't able to reach anything of note, much less the end of the landmass going approximately 10 kilometers south, then east. There was no coast visible along the northeast hypotenuse until approximately one one fifth of a kilometer from the shore. The landmass's shape is unknown. The Shinigami suggested that this is not earth but a "tiny planet." With the distance at which the ocean could be heard as well as the nature of the waves, it suggests the body of water is substantial. It's possible that the Shinigami was disingenuous. The gravity and such appears to be the same, which it shouldn't be on a planet significantly different from Earth. But Shinigami, Death Notes, Time Travel and Alchemy are already significantly different from Earth.
The house map appears accurate. The range and security of the Wifi hasn't been investigated. The room beyond here can be explored through the office or the southern or western walls without the code, using your alchemy. If they've planned for your arrival, that may trigger something as well, however. Alternately, you may have come for the specific purpose of opening that room as we've failed to uncover the entry code.

I don't trust a guy with fake wings, he's just more likely to break his arm. Is Wifi the thing you think's keeping us in? I'd need to study it, but I could probably learn to break that down too.
[Ed looks unimpressed that he had come just to get through a wall.]
What door?

[So he says while trying to straighten out the clothing he admittedly isn't very fond of. Unlike L, he tucks his shirt in, then nods to the door behind him, past the sinks with the note.]
It urges against getting in without some code, but only mentions breaking down the door as a potential hazard.
no subject
Even if it's some kind of trap, it won't trigger if the door doesn't open. I'm going for it. [Without waiting for an answer, his hands clap.]
no subject
[Not that he's stopping him.]

[Without any hesitation, he presses his hands to the wall.]

[But Ed does walk on inside, approaching the laptops.]
These look different, maybe they do something else.

[He knows there are some differences, but he was letting Mikami know they seemed to have the advantage there.
Instead of going on his own, even with Mikami's dropped instructions, Ed follows behind and glances over the older man's shoulder.]

[Since Ed's now paying attention, he pulls up the cameras, shifting aside to let him look.]
This one is connected to the security cameras. Nobody seems to be anywhere visible now, which means they're either outside or in one of the bedrooms...
[He switches the interface back over to the camera system, looking to see how far back he can make it go.]
no subject
[Admittedly, typewriters couldn't do that.]
What else does it do? Can you use it like a phone?

Can it actually do anything helpful?

[Without worrying about personal space, Ed tries his best to see what Mikami is doing. Even more complicated, he tries to understand it.]

It looks like there's at least one other new arrival. A girl.
no subject
This is the kinda guy we're supposed to be worried about? He doesn't sound scary at all.
no subject
It may be another house member anonymously. Potentially the killer obfuscating something.
no subject
Asking to find out which one of us would kill somebody to save the rest?
