Mikami's morning rounds and location logs

[Mikami's morning schedule is as follows unless interrupted;

From a little after midnight until 7AM, he'll be sleeping on the office couch, in full suit and tie, aside from his shoes at the front entrance. He's a light sleeper but not so light somebody intentionally trying not to wake him couldn't enter and do something.

At 7AM he will wake up and look out into the main area, then return to check the computer if nothing's thrown him off schedule.

Unless he makes alternate plans due to talking to anyone via computer, at 7:30 he'll briefly check the laundry room. He'll then head to the Master Bathroom and proceed with basic morning hygiene and showering.

By 8:00 he'll head to the kitchen and either interact with whoever else is there or just make coffee alone.

At 7:30, he takes Ed to the laundry room and moves the laundry to the dryer before heading to the beach with him.

...This is a rather dry read, but that's Mikami for you. For being transported into a murderous land of magic and mystery where waking up alive is perhaps a small miracle, his morning habits are quite normal. Arguably unsettlingly so. He seems entirely comfortable and at home in the setting to anyone observing.]

It says I'm not alone, and somebody's a murderer. [He begins to read once he pulls the paper out, amber eyes visibly moving.]

Some people's been here longer, but not by a lot. One of you already killed somebody here, but they can't prove it because there's no dead bodies. I'm supposed to ask about somebody named Ryuk. [Ed stops there to look at Mikami.]

Is it true? Did somebody die?

As it says, there's no corpse. [He answers almost as much to himself, glancing off to the side.] I don't know if the Shinigami is still here or not...

Allegedly a murder victim, implausibly enough.

[Thinking about something, there's a slight pause before glancing to Edward again and realizing his answer wasn't very helpful. Only this time he actually bothers to try a more appropriate one.]

A god of death; a flying, blue, skeletal, monster with wings that wears leather and chains that allegedly could kill most of us with his notebook if he were so inclined.

[He does realize, for the record, that that is not any more helpful.]

A computer is less complicated to explain.

We don't die because some guy comes from the sky and takes our souls. Whatever he was wearing, it was fake. But he's gone now? How do you know he didn't just leave?

Not impossible. He might still be here in the house. But to this point they haven't left anything so easily seen through.

Maybe he used his wings to fly off. [Sarcasm? Yep.]

Anyway... Says you guys got letters like mine, told you how it works, and not focus on the how. Yeah, that's be easy for them, huh? It also says the killer would be weird, that something's off about them. Instead of telling us about it, it says to ask the people here before about votes and kills. Do they think we're gonna vote on who dies? Even if I hate this guy, I'm not voting for him. I'm going to kick his ass myself.

No, he tried that. As for the seeming rules of this game, we make a vote on who to send home. We were encouraged to seek the murderer, but currently we've been saving the most likely figures to be innocent.

[Ed looks away from his note, curious.]

So we'll just follow whoever gets voted to go home. [Both hands arms cross over one another.] Didn't anybody think of that?

You can try. [Dismissive. Next topic, as he points to the scanner.] There seems to be significance in the number five. I'm not sure who we'll send this time. There's bound to be an unknown second newcomer. You might be picked for your age...

Eh? No, why would... [you think that? Yagami-san, who is probably around that age, is still around, isn't he? He trails off, instead clarifying himself.] Since you're a child, you might be voted the most innocent.
